Professor Duffer A. Hacker—a renowned explorer, archaeologist, anthropologist, paleontologist, and part-time taxidermist from the University of Chicago—led two daring expeditions to the Fogclift Islands off the coast of South America in the 1920s. His mission was to uncover the fabled gold and diamond mines said to be hidden within the islands. During his first expedition, Professor Hacker stumbled upon an incredible find: an old mining train constructed by the Germans during the First World War.
